Bacon Wrapped Filet Mignon

Just in time for bacon lovers!  Here is a Bacon wrapped Filet Mignon recipe!

The best ways to enjoy the natural flavor of filet mignon is to season it, wrap it in bacon and cook it over an open flame.  The bacon adds flavor and helps maintain the juiciness of the steak.


4-6 Filet Mignons*

Sea Salt to taste

Whole peppercorn medley

1 pack Bacon without distinct flavors

6-12 Toothpicks

* For money saving tip, purchase the entire uncut Filet Mignon from your local supermarket and cut meat at 1 1/2 inch thick.  The meat  for this recipe was uncut.


  1. Start the grill and heat to at least 500 degrees.
  2. Prepare Filet Mignon for cooking.  Clean the steak and remove any fat with a knife before preparing steak.
  3. Season Filet Mignon to taste. Keep it simple and add sea salt & fresh-cracked whole peppercorn medley.
  4. Wrap one slice of bacon snug around Filet Mignon.  Stick a toothpick through the overlapping portion to keep the bacon in place.  You will notice that your Filet Mignon is round.
  5. Place the Filet Mignon on the grill and close the lid.  Cook 4-6 minutes for medium-rare or to taste for well done.
  6. Remove from the grill and let stand for 5 minutes in aluminum foil before serving.  Don’t forget to remove toothpick before serving.
