Happy 21st Birthday Princess!
21 years ago we brought home the most beautiful baby girl in the entire hospital. The nurses and hospital staff came from all the departments in the hospital to take a look at the most beautiful baby girl! “Oh! Such beautiful hair!”,
“Oh! Those beautiful hands and feet!”, “Look at those eyes!” “She is beautiful!”. The whole hospital celebrated your birth and was in awe because you were a very special child.
We took you home, nursed and cared for you. You were mommies little bundle of joy! Always my little princess. You brought me the most joy I have ever felt in my life.
The first day of Kindergarten was one the hardest day for your mom as she walked you to school and saw you run into the classroom. You turned around and waved, “Good-bye Momma”. My heart sank! Oh no, my daughter doesn’t need me anymore? I remember crawling into the bushes to watch you during lunchtime to make sure you walked from the classroom to the daycare. “Yes, that my girl, I exclaimed”.
Always, the helper, the encourager, the friend and supporter. These are the traits I have seen blossom in your life. By first grade you declared that you were going to be a teacher. “I’m a teacher Momma!”
Middle School seemed to pass by quickly. Why? The day of your graduation from High School was a bittersweet moment. I was so proud of you! However, it also reminded me that you were getting older and so was I!
As I have watched you grow, I have seen you mature as a young lady and now a young woman.
Every day I look at you I can’t help to be reminded of the beautiful baby girl we took home. You’re getting older and becoming more independent. You have a driver’s license, a job and a car, and now you’re getting ready to graduate from College. But, in your mother’s eyes you will always be her baby girl.
You’ve taught me what a wonderful gift it is to be a mother. You taught me that every sacrifice, every tear, every stretch mark, every sleepless night caring for your children is worth it. You taught me how to laugh silly and just have fun. You have taught me the feeling of unconditional love.
Thank you for being the helper, the encourager, the friend and supporter to all of US.
Happy 21st Birthday baby girl!
I Love You!
Just Mom.

Thank you Tiffany. They grow up too fast!
Best birthday gift ever. I wonder if my kids would settle for a love letter instead of Wii Masters of the Universe. Can we sway kids on birthdays??
Thank you! I was really surprised by my daughters request too. I think we can sway them, just needs to be “their idea”.
I write love letters to my girls every year on their birthdays. I love being able to get all gushy especially now that they’re teens.
Sweet letter. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you.
Beautiful and what a sweet girl to ask for this for her birthday! It’s the simple things from the heart that really mean the most.
I always say my son is my heart… Happy Birthday to your heart
Aww, thank you so much Jeannine. I think this was one of the most memorable birthday’s ever. When she read the part about “hiding in the bushes”, she said, I thought I saw you hiding in the bushes mom… lol
