Bloggers Unite for Mimi’s Go Red for Women’s Movement
In February Influential Southern California Bloggers partnered with Mimi’s Cafe to launch Mimi’s Go Red for Women’s campaign in Irvine, California. Mimi’s Cafe campaign brought national awareness through a fundraising drive as the first restaurant to nationally support the American Heart’s Association Go Red For Women movement. The campaign was a huge success! Mimi’s also provided several opportunities for the community to participate in social good including the option to take a photo with a giant red dress display and upload it to a special “Mimi’s Goes Red” Facebook gallery via QR Code.
The launch was attended by Mimi’s executives, employees, The Red Hat Society and Southern California bloggers Angry Julie, Rockin Mama, Sassy Mama In LA, Latina Mom Bloggers, Design Action Studios Blog , Tech Food Life Blog and Social Hospitality.
It was an honor to support Mimi’s program to help bring awareness and education to heart disease in Women. Mimi’s Cafe Go Red for Women is a program created for women by women brought awareness and education to cardiovascular disease in women. Mimi’s restaurant provides healthy eating options as well. Thanks to the heartfelt support of guests, staff, friends and supporters, Mimi’s® initiative raised $181,864, topping its year-one goal by 20%.
