I love Avocados! I like making homemade guacamole with lemons, onions, jalapeno and fresh Avocados from Mexico and spreading it on tacos or eating it with tortilla chips. Avocados from Mexico are my favorite Avocados for making guacamole. Did you know that Mexican Hass avocados are highly regarded by chefs and gourmands alike? My favorite gourmet guacamole recipe is the Greek Guacamole recipe.
The world´s first avocado was grown and cultivated in Mexico countless generations ago. For hundreds of years, the avocado has played an important role in Mexico´s culinary history. Today, Avocados from Mexico are available year-round, with their peak of the season being from September though May – yes we have an Avocado party in our home during Avocado season!
I also enjoy dicing Avocados from Mexico and adding them to homemade Shrimp Ceviche. So delicious!
Avocados from Mexico is celebrating the tradition with an “Aguacate Lindo y Querido Recipe Contest“. All you need to do is create an original Mexican-inspired recipe using rich and creamy Avocados from Mexico and enter your recipe using the form here. The grand prize includes a cooking lesson with Celebrity Chef Aquiles Chávez, $500 spending money and more!
I’m off to create another delicious Avocados from Mexico Greek recipe to celebrate the occasion.
Buen Provecho!
