Whenever I visit Miami, Florida I always have to make a pit stop at my favorite Cuban restaurant Versailles! The food is always fresh and delicious. The world’s most famous 40 year old cuban restaurant is a landmark and the go to place to discuss politics and enjoy Cuban cuisine. On my recent trip we went straight from the airport to the restaurant ventanita. We started our meal with a freshly baked Pastelito de Guava which is a pastry made with guava filling. It was so delicious.
My trips to Miami are something I look forward to, especially because of the food. My favorite dishes are the Cafe con Leche (Coffee with Milk), Chicken with Yellow Rice, Roba Vieja, Platanos Maduros (Plantains), and Eggs and Potatos.
I truly love and appreciate Cuban food. You literally can taste the culture of the people with every bite.
If you ever get the chance to visit Miami, make sure to add this to your list of Must visit restaurants.

I couldn’t agree with you more. The first time I went to Miami with my family (i had been before on business) we stopped in. Thank goodness I am up here in NY because if they were close by… my diet would be in deep “you-know-what”.
Oooh, Eva, you’re killing me with these pictures! This is why I have to run! 😉
I’ve never had cuban food! We must go, you must take me! Is there good Cuban food in So Cal?
Mmm… Love Cuban sandwiches. Desiree, there are two Cuban restaurants in Los Angeles that are also called Versailles. Probably not the same quality as the famous one in Miami, but pretty darned good.

I had the pleasure of visiting Versaille’s and I couldn’t agree with you more about the culture there. Lucky girl to be able to visit!
I’ve not eaten there in years and wonder if anything’s changed. I love their little window where you can grab a pastelito and café and keep your day going!
