#CorazonesBlindados on Mundo Fox Episodes Recap

I’ve been watching Corazones Blindados on Mundo Fox.  The police drama airs daily from 8pm-9pm PST/CT.  While on duty, Officers Raúl Ávila and Diana Ochoa become partners. At the beginning their relationship is off to a rocky start, but with time, these colleagues fall in love. It’s the beginning of a unique love story, a modern take on police partners that revolves around workplace romance, strong, single working women, passionate policemen packed with drama and action.

Officer Raul figures out a way to save her and they are back on patrol again.   During the first episode an inmate escapes while being transported to another facility. Officer Raul later learns that the inmate that escapes is the person who caused his father’s death.  Within the first couple episodes Diana is kidnapped and Officer Raul figures out a way to save her.  The current episodes finds Officers Raúl Ávila and Diana Ochoa fighting crime in the dangerous streets full of drug cartels, addicts and criminals.  Officer Raul and Diana enter an area of homeless drug addicts and criminals unarmed to save a young woman’s life.   The woman is brought to safety and Diana accompanies the woman in the ambulance to support her.

There is one criminal with a close relationship to Raul which keeps escaping capture.  Tune in Monday-Friday at 8/9 PM ET/PT for conclusion.

Corazones Blindados Cast Play Roles That Depict Characters In Real Life Situations

MundoFox police drama series Corazones Blindados began on Monday, October 22.    The series is based on real life scenarios faced by the National Police Force of Colombia.   In the show’s first week, we saw what’s in store for us for the rest of the season.   This show airs Monday-Friday at 8/9 PM ET/PT.     One of the reasons I like the show is the cast.   The actors play roles that depict their characters in real life situations, give viewers a glimpse into the perils faced by Colombian police by sharing the heart aches, triumphs and challenges faced on the daily basis.

The character Lieutenant Raul Avila  is played by actor Andres Sandoval who has always dreamed of being a motorcyclist.  His life takes a major turn after he loses his father.   During the first series you can see an attraction between Raul and his partner Diana begin to develop.

Colombian actress Majida Issa does an outstanding job of portraying  Assistant Superintendent Diana Ochoa.   Her character is a tough as nails policewoman who plays a police supervisor, a role which is normally cast for males in main stream police dramas.  Her character is a single mother who is very well liked and respected in her community of police officers.   She doesn’t let her personal life interfere with her job and seems to have a good grasp on separating her personal life from professional life until she meets her subordinate Lieutenant Raul Avila.

The chemistry between the two characters, the fact that the show depicts a relationship between a female Assistant Superintendent and male Lieutenant and suspense will definitely keep viewers interested in the storyline.  I am enjoying following the series.

Mundo Fox has graciously made the first episode available to my readers, grab your popcorn and tune in for Mundo Fox first episode of Corazon Blindados.

Top Four Takeaways from Bloggy Bootcamp 2012 #BBCVegas

I love conferences!  But there is one conference that is close and dear to my heart.  Bloggy Bootcamp is a conference for new and experienced bloggers.  I attended my first conference in March 2011.  It’s the one conference where I have been able to grow as a blogger because the speakers tell it like it is and share an overwhelming amount of tips.

I had the honor of going to Bloggy Bootcamp with my daughter. We ventured off the beaten path on the way home and made a mini vacation of it. It was so much fun.

While in Las Vegas I also had the opportunity to make new friends at Bloggy Bootcamp and get to meet the faces behind the blogs.  There were so much advice to pack in my suitcase which has taken me a week to process.

Here are my five takeaways from Bloggy Bootcamp

#1)  The secret IS in the support – Tiffany Romero

Have you ever been surrounded by women that truly support you?  For me that is what Bloggy Bootcamp is all about.   Through the first bloggy bootcamp conference I attended, I have been able to establish and maintain several relationships with bloggers.  Throughout this years conference and breaks many of us had the opportunity to meet each other face to face for the first time, share ideas, listen, motivate each other and give each other genuine support.

I was able to bond with the group of ladies  I attended Bloggy Bootcamp with. It was evident to me by noticing the closeness of the women and seeing all the relationships that were developing that one of the secrets to success is support!

#2) “Where you put your energy is where you get your results” – Tiffany Romero

Tiffany shared with us to make sure to pay attention on where we are focusing our goals.  For example, if your goal is to get a paid campaign make sure to focus our attention on attaining the goal and putting together an action plan to meet your goals.  If we’re not sure how to attain the goal. Imagine that you have attained your goal and work backwards to figure out the order of the steps.  This is an excellent tip for planning goals.

#3) “It is impossible to be a stellar mom and business woman at the same time  – Balance is Bunk” – Danielle Smith

One of the best pieces of advice!  As a mom we really try to do it all, be all and be the perfect parent, wife and blogger.   I like Danielle’s advise. If we try to balance too many balls as a mom sometimes we will fail. We won’t be  good mom, or a good wife or even a good blogger.  I certainly plan to implement Danielle’s advised to prioritize my obligations.

#4) If it isn’t a Hell Yeah!  Than its a no! – Danielle Smith

Lately I have been offered opportunities that I have had to decline.  I couldn’t really put my finger on one specific reason.  Either the opportunity required me to be away too long, offerred no compensation for the amount of time required or it just wasn’t the right fit.  I’m really glad that Danielle shared her quote with us during Bloggy Bootcamp to put what I have been going through in perspective for future opportunities.  If it’s not a Hell ‘ya, than its simply a no.

The Milk Truck comes to California! #Positivismo

When I was little the milk man actually would come to our home and deliver milk.  We lived in a small community near the border. There was also a dairy farm in the area and they would deliver milk door to door.  Times have really changed over the years. However,  we received wonderful news a couple of weeks ago that the milk truck was headed to one of our fellow Positivity Ambassadors neighborhood to share the benefits of milk with her community.

As many of you have been following along a glass of milk before bedtime makes for a good night’s sleep.  In an effort to help remind parents to give their children milk before bedtime, the California Milk Processor Board’s Milk Truck visited  fellow Positivity Ambassador Presley’s Pantry last week. More than 50 of Presley Pantry’s family, friends and neighbors joined the festivities as the Milk Truck made its way through her East Los Angeles neighborhood. Everyone had a blast as sang along to the “Ya es hora de ir a la cama” song, while they enjoyed flavored milk.

The idea of the milk truck was developed around the popular tradition of drinking a glass of milk before bedtime. As the milk truck made its way through the  neighborhood, it played the “Ya es hora de ir a la cama” song in an effort to remind parents to send their kids to bed early with a bedtime story and a glass of milk.   The video reminded me a lot of my childhood.  This type of “bedtime ritual” can help parents make sure that their children sleep better while creating special, loving moments between parent and child. capture.

It was wonderful memory for the parents and especially for the kids!   Here’s is a glimpse of what all the families experienced.  Sing a long everyone!

Vanilla Mint Latte Recipe

Our bedtime ritual has become a routine.  Whenever I get ready for bed I do a little reading, take a shower, drink a cup of warm milk, brush my teeth and go to sleep.  The warm glass of milk is perfect and helps prepare me for sleep.  Sometimes I add a little bit of cinnamon on top or create one of my favorite warm milk drinks, Vanilla Mint Latte.  Needless to say, its a ritual I look forward to every night.

Vanilla Mint Latte Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups milk, hot steamed to fill cup (or foamed)
5 fresh mint sprigs
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp raw sugar

Instructions

Heat milk on stovetop on medium heat for 3 minutes. Add mint leaves. Add vanilla. Heat for additional 3 minutes, stirring the leaves once or twice. Let simmer for 3 minutes and remove leaves. Pour heated milk over raw sugar and stir. Serve warm. Pour drink mixture into cup and serve!

Every night Telemundo and Univision feature the California Milk Board’s TV spot, “Ya es hora de ir a la cama” which reminds parents and children that it’s time to go to bed!  Remember to tune in every night between 7-9 pm PT to Telemundo and Univision to watch.  It’s a nice initiative since some kids are not sleeping enough. It’s important that they get enough hours of sleep to be more alert the following day.

Vamos! Feria de Los Moles – The Largest Food Festival in the USA!

I’m really excited to be attending the Feria de Los Moles at La Placita Olvera in Los Angeles on Sunday, October 7, 2012.  The feast will be filled with flavor and several restaurants from the area.  I’m looking forward to sampling the flavors of the Moles and meeting Doña Kaelita grandmother of the Feria de Los Moles founder Pedro Ramos, whose Mole recipe served him as an inspiration to create this wonderful event.  I hope you’ll find to join this historic event during Hispanic Heritage month.

This year’s Feria de Los Moles Puebla vs. Oaxaca introduces Ms. Mole a wonderful opportunity offered to a young girl from Southern California to represent the food tradition by sporting a dress decorated with the ingredients of the mole dish.
