Tech Tuesday: Zumbaa Fitness Online

Last month in an effort to balance my life, I started incorporating healthy habits & a fitness routine into my lifestyle. Honestly, I was a tad tired of how I was living my life all these years, giving too much to the work. This led me to have only a limited amount of time for myself which I could not utilize properly.

Upon reflecting on my lifestyle, I felt a chill run down my spine, realizing that I have not been properly caring for my mind and body–the two most important things in my life. Hence, I thought that it is time I try to balance my life by eating healthy, sleeping on time, and working out.

I have already created a diet plan, which includes fruits and grains; fewer carbs and gluten. Also, I have cut down on my alcohol consumption as it was slowly turning me into a frequent drinker. I have heard what happens to those who drink too much and at regular intervals– they often end up sabotaging their lives, which, of course, I do not want to do! Such people then require the help of professionals, often found at the likes of Recovery Institute of Ohio (they are known to offer their services in Columbus, Oh location), to detox and come clean. I do not really wish to undergo this process. Hence, I have thought of eating and drinking healthily–perhaps fruits and juices could be my best friend from now.

In the same way, to ensure a good night’s rest, I have considered disciplining myself–limiting my screen time at night. Additionally, I have thought of replacing my current mattress, which gives me back pain every other day. Probably, I will buy a better one after going through an online Adjustable Mattress guide. Even my workout sessions are sorted now! Thanks to fitness utilizing technology to promote a healthy lifestyle, I have now started off with a Zumbaa playlist on Youtube and eventually graduated to a Zumbaa fitness channel. Of course, I still enjoy the bi-weekly visits to the gym for my workouts. However, it’s great to know that I have options when it comes to fitness.

I know many people strive to be fit, but am especially happy having started my journey in this feat. I realize that it might not be so easy for everyone, but with help, it could happen for them too. Using a supplement for strength, energy, and performance, for example, might give people the energy boost they need to work out regularly. For all of you who aren’t aware, I must inform you that having a high level of overall fitness can reduce your risk of chronic diseases and help you manage any health issues that may arise. In fact, it also promotes more functionality and mobility throughout life. As well, being active in the short term can benefit your day-to-day functioning, from better moods to sharper focus to better sleep.

I personally love working out because of all the said benefits. But yes, my main aim is to remain fit. And to do that properly, I am also planning to start a proper diet to make the most out of my fitness regime. Meanwhile, to not lose strength, I might include some high-quality supplements which could work to improve muscle strength and fat loss.

So, this is going to be my fitness routine for some time now. Let me know in the comments what is going to be yours. Besides, I must tell that fitness should be a part of our everyday routine and not just a one-time goal.

I currently have my Apple TV – Digital multi receiver connected to a Sony BRAVIA HGTV flatscreen to view Zumbaa videos on Youtube. It makes a big difference when I view the videos on a 32 inch screen. I’m considering installing disco lights!

  1. Wow, that video was SO inspiring! I used to take Zumba classes every week… thank you for reminding me how much I loved them! I don’t even think of Zumba as exercise… its way more like a party!

  2. I’ve never used online sites but I have used a couple DVD’s at home. It’s really hard for me to self- motivate but its so much easier than finding a sitter and running to gym.

  3. You know, I’ve been thinking about trying this. Hmm. Another search to add to the YouTube app on my Blu-Ray player.

  4. I’ve wanted to try it and bought a couple of CDs but it’s just too fast paced for me. I have no coordination what-so-ever. *Sigh* It looks so much fun!

    • The first class I took was a Disco Zumba class where the instructor turned off the lights and turned on the disco lights. Everyone danced in the dark.
