Women in Avengers: Age of Ultron & Movie Review
Age of Ultron movie has a great storyline, is action-packed and has more twists and thrills than a rollercoaster. It’s so entertaining you will blur the lines of fantasy and reality to immerse yourself into a character in the movie. Which Avenger you pick depends on what character you are drawn to the most and their costume. My favorite so far is the Black Widow, but I really loved all the characters, especially all the roles played by women.
The Black Widow, Agent Maria Hill, Wanda Maximoff and Dr. Helen Cho characters are very smart, tech savvy and powerful. Their intelligence, expertise and super powers draws you closer to each of their characters.
The female forces in Avengers Age of Ultron have a lot of depth, are intelligent and powerful. They are a force to be reckoned with and inspire us to channel our own inner Avengers. The combination of their tender-hearts, kick-ass moves and survival skills make them more human-like, even though they have incredible super powers.
These are the characteristics I liked the most from each female character:
It’s really business as usual for the Black Widow with her martial arts moves, but as the film develops we get to see a tender and heart-warming side to her character and unexpected love interest.
Wanda Maximoff and her brother Pietro aka Quicksilver are orphaned at a young age. Their past experiences have drawn them to the dark side. It’s just them against the world. Wanda’s character is more motherly, caring and protecting of her cause. Wanda is very connected to the universe and the world around her, which is where she draws her telekinisis super power from. Her super powers have never before seen by the Avengers and very mystifying.
Agent Maria Hill’s is reporting to Tony Stark and is in charge of all the paperwork, but as you see her role play out she really has a significant role in day to day operations, as she works closely with all the Avengers. When it comes to getting things done she gets it done.
Dr. Helen Cho is a geneticist who helps the Avengers from the Avengers towers. Her research and technology expertise help the Avengers. We truly need more movies with smart technologists and world super heroes in film!
Avengers: Age of Ultron Costumes & Prop Secrets
Alexandra Byrne designed all the costumes. According to Byrne, the most challenging part of the movie was creating all the costume designs for all the characters. There were a lot of characters and they needed to get the costumes just right. Alex Byrne and Ryan Meinerding, concept artist collaborated on a great coat for Haweye with really cool lines.
Many of the Avenger props applied new technology to old weapons to take them to the next level. Hawkeye’s archery also takes a new look with an upgrade to a maroon. There are also five versions of Captain Americas shield for the making of the film: a hero, a lightweight hero, a durable, a biscuit foam and a stunt rubber. Black Widow’s fighting batons are based off the Escrima Sticks.
