Lo Que La Vida Me Robo Character Introduction and Giveaway

Disclosure:  This post was created in partnership with the Stiletto Blogger Network and Univision. However, all opinions expressed herein are my own.

As I mentioned earlier this week, Univision recently announced their new telenovela,  ”Lo Que La Vida Me Robo”.  The Mexican telenovela will  capture your attention by telling the  story of  love, laughter, betrayal and wealth in the small town of aguazul.  The Mexican telenovela is also full of interesting characters that will keep you entertained.

I’m looking forward to the new novela and plan to use the Univision UVideos app to stay connected with the telenovela and host of characters.  Tune in to Lo Que La Vida Me Robo weekenights at 9pm on Univision. I recommend you check out the app or videos as well and download the app to get insider information on your favorite character too.

Can’t wait? You can find a  plethora of juicy clips to keep you busy on their dedicated novelas video page.

Lo Que La Vida Me Robo unfolds in Aguazul, a picturesque village where Montserrat Mendoza, a socialite lives.   The telenovela scenes are surrounded my breathtaking architecture, design and views.

My favorite character is Nadia Medina Arguelles, a smart and distinguished socialite.  Nadia starts her married life full of hopes and expectations, but soon realizes she is trapped in a cold marriage.   Nadia desires to find love and seeks refuge in the arms of Victor Hernandez. Her close friend, Montserrat is willing to make any sacrifice for her family and is eventually manipulated by her mother, Graciela Giacinti, to marry a rich man.

The characters are involved in a classic love triangle and experience love, friendship, passion, contempt and resentment between them, because of secrets, betrayal and hatred caused by the greed and avarice of those around them.    Make sure to watch “Lo Que La Vida Me Robo” telenovela to find out Montserrat’s and Nadia’s fate.  The telenovela will have you on the edge of your seat every evening!

To celebrate the Telenovela, Univision is offering one of my readers a $50 American Express Card!  You have the opportunity to win it by participating in the giveaway below:

American Music Awards 2012 Winners and PSY – Gangnam Style 2 Legit 2 Quit Mashup video

Like millions of viewers I watched the 40th American Music Awards.   The show was full of entertainment with some surprises among the winners.  My favorite performance were by Pitpull, Pink, Carrie Underwood and the PSY & MC Hammer – Gangnam Style / 2 Legit 2 Quit Mashup. The Gangnam Style Mashup was phenomenal!

Justin Bieber won three American Music Awards: Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist, Album and Artist of the Year.  Justin’s mentor, Usher also won an award for  Favorite Male Artist/ R&B Soul.

There were at least 4 hashtags I noticed online during the program.  One thing I learned with these awards is that it’s very important for television shows that are looking for Social Media Interaction to display a hashtag at the corner of the broadcast as there were way too many hashtags to follow the conversation online.

Corazones Blindados Cast Play Roles That Depict Characters In Real Life Situations

MundoFox police drama series Corazones Blindados began on Monday, October 22.    The series is based on real life scenarios faced by the National Police Force of Colombia.   In the show’s first week, we saw what’s in store for us for the rest of the season.   This show airs Monday-Friday at 8/9 PM ET/PT.     One of the reasons I like the show is the cast.   The actors play roles that depict their characters in real life situations, give viewers a glimpse into the perils faced by Colombian police by sharing the heart aches, triumphs and challenges faced on the daily basis.

The character Lieutenant Raul Avila  is played by actor Andres Sandoval who has always dreamed of being a motorcyclist.  His life takes a major turn after he loses his father.   During the first series you can see an attraction between Raul and his partner Diana begin to develop.

Colombian actress Majida Issa does an outstanding job of portraying  Assistant Superintendent Diana Ochoa.   Her character is a tough as nails policewoman who plays a police supervisor, a role which is normally cast for males in main stream police dramas.  Her character is a single mother who is very well liked and respected in her community of police officers.   She doesn’t let her personal life interfere with her job and seems to have a good grasp on separating her personal life from professional life until she meets her subordinate Lieutenant Raul Avila.

The chemistry between the two characters, the fact that the show depicts a relationship between a female Assistant Superintendent and male Lieutenant and suspense will definitely keep viewers interested in the storyline.  I am enjoying following the series.

Mundo Fox has graciously made the first episode available to my readers, grab your popcorn and tune in for Mundo Fox first episode of Corazon Blindados.

Tune In to Corazones Blindados coming to Mundo Fox October 22!

Corazones Blindados premieres Monday October 22nd on Mundo Fox from 8-9pm ET/PT and runs daily weekdays. The new drama tells the tough life story of Bogota Colombia’s Metropolitan Police officers who combat crime while raising a family and dealing with their personal problems.

While on duty, Officers Raúl Ávila and Diana Ochoa become partners. At the beginning their relationship is off to a rocky start, but with time, these colleagues fall in love. It’s the beginning of a unique love story, a modern take on police partners that revolves around workplace romance, strong, single working women, passionate policemen packed with drama and action.

Avila who wanted to become a motorcycle rider, finished choosing the profession of lawman when he lost his father to crime.  Diana lost her husband, also a policeman when the guerrillas took him hostage.  The story of these two begins when a criminal escapes from prison.

Cast

Raul Avila  by actor Andres Sandoval, Diana Ochoa by actress Majida Issa, Sofia Arango  by Michelle Gc, Marcela Torres by Natalia Duran and Assistant Superintendent Vicente Yáñez  by actor Carlos Manuel Vesga.

Program Overview

Tired of the same type of police drama series? MundoFOX brings you a modern take on Police Partners that you won’t want to miss!  I had the opportunity to preview the first episode of the program.   The drama is full of action, suspense and mystery.  This detective series is also a welcomed addition to the current Mundo Fox programming.  I watched the entire 1 hour program on the edge of my seat.  I love that the program is not predictable and  watched the episode twice to capture all the action.

If your looking for something exciting and new to your television programming make sure to add this program to your list.  Don’t miss this drama series with real life cases encountered by the National Police Force of Colombia. Each daily one hour episode was shot on location in high-definition in Bogotá.  The series also has special scenes shot at the National School of Operations (CENOP), the military academy where Special Forces from Colombia and other countries train.

Get ready to be hooked on this new MundoFox series, Andrés Sandoval and Majida Issa bring you “Corazones Blindados”

I received a copy of “El Joe La Leyenda” DVD for review.  The DVD celebrates the memory of Salsa legend El Joe Arroyo and his music.  El Joe La Leyenda, a telenovela will debut on Mundo Fox starting August 13.  I’ve been watching and listening to the DVD  a couple times a week since I received it.

Cast

The Spanish telenovela features Colombian actor Jair Romero (El Joe),  actress Estefanía Borge (Jackeline Ramón), actor Andrés Suarez (Fransisco Vergara) and  Colombian actress Jeimmy Paola Vargas (Adela).

Telenovela Overview
The Colombian Caribbean has a color, rhythm and a unique taste, and in the center of it all was Joe Arroyo, the salsa star who redefined the genre with his  infectious music and charming personality. This thrilling story is is set during the 1970s and is based on his life, when Joe had no idea the influence he would have in the future of music.  His failures and successes, tumultuous relationships and health problems, come together to tell the story of the famous Colombian singer and songwriter.
The telenovela will also feature a lot of music, dancing, El Joe Arroyo live music and performances.

I’m looking forward to the telenovela.  Check your local Mundo Fox listing for programing.
